Mexican Crazy Dish

Crust:
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup Crisco
½ cup sour cream or yogurt

Filling:
1 pound ground beef, browned
½ cup chopped onions
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
¼ teaspoon hot pepper
1 (16 ounce)can pinto beans, undrained
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

Topping:
½ cup chopped tomato
½ cup shredded lettuce
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Combine crust ingredients.  Spread batter in greased and floured 9 or 10 inch pie plate.  Spread batter thinly on bottom, thicker on the sides.  Brown ground beef with onion and drain.  Add remaining filling ingredients.  Pour over crust.  Bake for 20-30 minutes or until crust is a deep brown.  Remove from oven and top with tomato, lettuce and cheese.  Makes 4 servings.
